Our New York Manager and the Bard!

Eleanor Handley is currently performing in Twelfth Night and Cymbeline with the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival.

Honda National Dealer Meeting :

Thirteen Peers and Players people recently performed theatrical pieces and facilitated group brainstorming sessions at the conference attended by over one hundred Honda Dealers from around Australia.

Page to Stage Young Dramatists:

Several of our actors directed short plays for the festival this year. The 10 minute plays are written and performed by teenagers, and were seen at the Ensemble Theatre, Sydney in September.

 

Laurence Coy busy in theatre and film:
Having just completed the Australian premier of 'Sunday In The Park With George' for the Q Theatre, he also appeared in the upcoming film, 'Fools Gold' with Kate Hudson, Matthew McConaughey and Donald Sutherland. 

 

Mary Rachel Brown wins prestigious award.
Mary recently received the 2006 Griffin Playwrights' Award and Australia Council
funding to assist in staging her new play 'One in a Hundred' at the Griffin Theatre in Sydney.

Yvette Alcott gets Psyched!
Yvette has been facilitating Leadership Skills Workshops in Brisbane, has just completed her Graduate Diploma in Psychology and is working towards her honours degree. She is currently devising our new Performance Skills seminars.

 

Brian Langsworth’s new appointment:
Brian is has recently been appointed as an associate consultant for Aspect Organisational Psychologists. He is completing his psychology honours dissertation on employee mentor experiences in a Community Mentoring Program.

 

Joanna Weinberg’s one woman show:
Jo has just been completed a successful season

at the Butterfly Club in Melbourne, with her original one-woman-show 'Sinksongs'. It is soon to be a feature film! She is currently appearing at the Seymour Centre.

Yvette AlcottYvette Alcott
BA in Theatre and Ensemble Studios acting diploma. Live; Stand Up Comedy festivals, Shakespeare in repertory, For the Love of Alma Mahler. Film and T.V; All Saints, Water Rats and Passion. Since 1996 Yvette has worked role-play, real play and facilitation for executive management level for SHL, E&Y, KPMG, Vero and Baker & McKenzie. Yvette has just completed her Graduate Diploma in Psychology and is working on her honours degree. A published freelance writer, she teaches at the Actors College of Theatre and Television.

James BeanJames Bean
 Masters Degree in Communication. Extensive role-play for SHLAustralia includes KPMG, ANSTO, NSW Health, the APS, RTA and LendLease. An actor for twenty years, credits include All Saints, Backberner, GP and Home and Away. Corporate videos include Westpac, the ATO, Optus, AMP and Telstra, and product launches for Fujitsu and Tradelink. James is also an editor for an educational publishing company, has written several English-language course books, and taught English language skills at Sydney University and in China and Hungary.

James BeanBarbara Bingham

A professional actress in LA for 18 years, Barbara is a spokesperson for RESMED on their instructional videos, Her corporate training began with Vaccaro Sport where she was responsible for  amateur athletes who were being drafted into professional teams. The training included honing their presentation skills for handling all media, including TV, radio and print. Since joining Peers and Players, she has been able to apply her vast range of skills into the corporate environment. Her work has includes role-play for KPMG at their Senior Development Centres real-play with Citi Bank. Recently, Barbara was part of the performance and facilitation team at the 2008 Honda National Dealer Meeting.

Georgia BoltonGeorgia Bolton
Bachelor of Arts Degree (Psychology/Media/Drama), An actor for 10 years, her work in Film, Television and Theatre includes Blue Heelers, Stingers, The Wedge, Children’s TV Series, voiceovers for Radio and Television, award winning short films screened internationally, numerous television commercials, corporate videos, and most recently the new feature films ‘Noise’ and ‘The Independent’. Corporate work includes extensive roleplay experience with KPMG, Liveworks, LIV and RCH.

Mary Rachel BrownMary Rachel Brown
Associate Diploma in Performing Arts, with a Green Room Award, and the  Griffin and Max Afford Awards for writing. Mary’s plays have toured with The English Speaking Theatre in Berlin, The Australian War Memorial, The Street Theatre, The Glynn Nicholas Group, B#, Jigsaw Theatre Co and ABC TV. Mary is commissioned to write for Merrigong Theatre and The Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Acting: All Saints‚ CNNN, The Chaser, Backburner, On our Selection, You Can’t Stop The Murders, The Hunter Valley Theatre Company, Stables Theatre, and B Sharp. Brandon BurkeBrandon Burke
A NIDA graduate, he has worked for the Sydney, Melbourne, Queensland and South Australian theatre companies, the SWY and Stables theatre companies. He was an assistant director for Bell Shakespeare Company, Melbourne Theatre Company and Queensland Theatre Company. He has worked in over 50 TV and film productions and has taught at NIDA and the Australian Academy of Dramatic Art. His wide experience in the corporate world includes training videos, product launches products, being an MC and 7 years of role-play.

Bill ConnBill Conn
A NIDA graduate, he has worked as an actor, director, performing arts teacher, corporate role player/ trainer and MC. He has performed with many theatre companies and has wide experience in television and film, corporate videos, radio drama, voice-overs and voices for animation. Bill has performed countless play-readings and recorded over 100 books, winning the TDK/National Library Talking Book Award twice. He is Co-Artistic Director of the Page to Stage youth project, and does regular role-play for the Australian Public Service.

Laurence CoyLaurence Coy
Has a BA in Theatre Studies and Australian History, an Acting Diploma from WAAPA,studied directing a NIDA, and is doing his MA in Professional Writing, Skills. Adept at comedy, acting, Theatresports, directing, writing and producing. He is Academic Program Manager at the Australian Academy of Dramatic Art, and lectured at Leeds University. He taught presentation and negotiation skills, customer service, and speech writing for Maura Fay, NIDA Corporate program, and Jack Morton Worldwide. Clients; Optus, IAG, ABN AMRO, HSBC, the SCG Trust, Baker & Mackenzie, Mallisons, Telstra and he is part of the team that provides exclusive media and communication training to the Australian Football League.

Adam GelinAdam Gelin
Having emigrated from the USA as a teenager, he gained a BSc in Mathematical Computing (Macquarie, 1988), and spent over 10 years in various positions in the IT industry. He also pursued improvisation and acting, ultimately earning a Diploma in Performance Skills. He is co-ordinator of the Sydney Short and Sweet Play Fest, and teaches the computer language Powerbuilder, basic cryptography, and improvisation. Role-play clients include Blackdot, and The Commonwealth Bank.
